I operate a open invite policy, if I have invited you but your best friend has somehow been missed, bring them along. Turn up next Saturday afternoon in however much costume you’ve decided on wearing (if you don’t have a theme adopt your friends or just go for the generic Victoriana) and bring a bottle if you’re concerned that you’re gatecrashing.
Yes it starts in the afternoon and will last well into the evening, you aren’t expected to stay for the whole of that time (unless you’re really feeling mad for it) just come for however long you want to. There will be games and oddness, but just have whatever sort of party you want to have.
