Listening To Albulm I’d Forgotten

Running in circles,
we’re chasing our tails,
it seems we’ll never get anywhere.
Jogging to work,
slaving over the lunch meeting,
back on the road to nowhere.
Reckless we let the day slip through our fingers
but soon all the sound will be gone.
What will we say on the day we meet God?
what have we made of eighty years long?

Nights without stars in the heavens,
Days without sight of the sun,
You are my reason to go on,
Through nights without stars and these days without sun.

Nature shows, odd socks, removable hard drives,
red wine and a song about love.
Thirty page late nights, new cups of tea, pillows,
oh it’s a song about love

Nights without stars in the heavens,
Days without sight of the sun,
You are my reason to go on,
Through nights without stars and these days without sun.

Bathtubs and razor blades
rafters hanging,
rollcalls spell the end of this pain

ohhhh

Somebody drove me, broke me,
I got a fake smile self.
I just want to end this
today.

I want to see a change

I want to be somebody, anyone, someone,
that makes all the difference to you,
I cannot be everything, all things to all men,
I just want to mean it to you.

Nights without stars in the heavens,
Days without sight of the sun,
You are my reason to go on,
Through nights without stars and these days without sun.

You get me through all these nights without stars and these days without sun,
you’re the reason to carry on.
