End Of The Year

I like to leave this to the very end of the year. Doing it early just seems wrong, but here it is:

Tried John Dory – it’s yummy.

1.Failed, cannot keep up with FJ…yet.
2. My room is still not tidy but environmentally I am doing better.
3. Ups and downs as far as behaving with thought goes, but then hindsight is always 20:20
4. As an Alien Space Princess I’m doing rather well.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A job would be good, a publishing contract sort of job would be better. This is the same as last year.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Oh gods. Why is it I only remember horrible dates?
12th January – Complete failure.
9th February – Brilliant concert
10th February – End of the world

That’s it just get me out of this year ok? Going for what I want obviously doesn’t work, let me just curl up on my own next year.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Um.
I feel like this year I never achieved anything, just slid backwards somehow.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I hate this. I can think of so many.

‘I am no good at love
My heart should be wise and free
I kill the unfortunate golden goose
Whoever it may be
With over-articulate tenderness
And too much intensity.

I am no good at love
I batter it out of shape
Suspicion tears at my sleepless mind
And gibbering like an ape,
I lie alone in the endless dark
Knowing there’s no escape.

I am no good at love
When my easy heart I yield
Wild words come tumbling from my mouth
Which should have stayed concealed;
And my jealousy turns a bed of bliss
Into a battlefield.

I am no good at love
I betray it with little sins
For I feel the misery of the end
In the moment that it begins
And the bitterness of the last good-bye
Is the bitterness that wins.’

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

‘let’s dance to joy division
and raise our glass to the ceiling
‘cos this could all go so wrong
but we’re just so happy
yeah, we’re so happy

so if you’re ever feeling down
grab your purse and take a taxi
to the darkest side of town
that’s where we’ll be
and we will wait for you
and lead you through the dancefloor
up to the dj booth
you know what to ask for
you know what to ask for

go ask for joy division
and celebrate the irony
everything is going wrong
but we’re so happy’
