Jobs, Family and Plans

So, this year is the year I have had a number of problems with greymatter (the software I use to update my blog), however my wonderful boyfriend, The Jellicle Cat has managed to solve these issues with weeks to spare before we’re in a brand new decade.

This year I’ve managed to get out of the habit of scanty work and into something regular and not via an agency! I’m not teaching, although as Erfie and I have discovered in conversations of late we still have the passion for education that propelled us in that direction…only took a boy with a knife to change my mind…

And I’ve resigned ready for a new job next year…and one that should give me time to write the books…who knows.

Spent today with The Jellicle Cat, The Princess and her boyfriend and my parents at my Grandma’s place. All was good, there was banter – I FAILED completely at all driving everywhere today but I’m now at The Princess’s place and am drinking so no more failure.

All sorts of interesting thoughts regarding families and polyamory arising again. My parents are still at the stage they were three years ago. They don’t want to know.

Meh, you’d think I’d have got used to it by now as I’m still not out to them for much the same reason.

Right, engagement party beckons.

  1. Don’t worry so much about ‘getting used to stuff’. Sometimes you just don’t, especially when it comes to emotional stuff, no matter how many times you tell yourself that you ‘should know better’. It’s a mark of being human. The time at which you become impervious to hurt is the time to start worrying.
