Skincare

I think some of my nicest memories are those of my Japanese Mothers telling me how I was supposed to look after my skin. The idea that cleanse, tone, moisturise wasn’t a proper skincare routine (it was still more than Skimble did) and should be at the very least enhanced by regular facials was definitely from them. Then I got a shock when I went for a facial, told the Girl with Golden Hair and she said I looked younger! I was only in my late twenties! Assuming facials are a normal part of a skincare routine is definitely a Japan thing.

In the last six years my skincare routine has been built upon and I’m feeling rather good about this. I find the Facemaskclub and Roccabox (when they’ve got a cheapy offer on) really good for figuring out new products I want to add in. To be honest so are Superdrug and Boots.

Given I have chronic fatigue I don’t manage to do the full ten step SoKo routine everyday sometimes I only manage to wash once a day. In that case I try to do a water cleanse, tone and a moisturiser, if I really can’t then I use a cleanser and leave it.

So my current full routine is as follows;
